ROTARY INTERNATIONAL HAR KOMMET MED FØLGENDE ANBEFALING:
Dear
District Governors and District Governor-elects,
As the health and safety of our members is our top priority, we are monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-2019) outbreak on a daily basis to assess its potential impact on our meetings, trainings, and events.
With an increase in COVID-2019 cases and new outbreaks daily, Rotary’s Board of Directors is offering flexibility in how your district holds meetings, including those mandated by our bylaws to motivate members and prepare incoming leaders.
If
your government discourages or prohibits gatherings due to COVID-2019, or you
and your fellow district leaders deem it appropriate, please consider the
following options for any meetings scheduled before 30 June 2020:
District conferences:
District
training meetings (including president-elect training seminar and district
training assembly):
Hold your meeting online, considering these
recommendations:
Encourage
participants to complete their learning plan in the Rotary Learning Center (see
the catalog for direct links to the learning plans).
Hold at least three one-hour, online meetings to cover Rotary’s strategic plan, the role and responsibility of the participant, and goals for the year.
Follow all other requirements for district training meetings, including attendance
Delay your training to the end of June.
Rotary is developing resources to support online training and will share those with you as soon as they are available.
Please note that districts will be responsible for any costs associated with delaying or cancelling district meetings. Review your event contracts and consult with a legal professional in your area regarding your financial responsibilities.
Let me know if you have questions, and best wishes for the health and safety of all the Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Rotary program participants in your district!
Kind regards, Sari & Anna Maria (Zurich-kontor)
